Located in an old cellar in the historical district of the Old Town, “Kabata” which also means “Pocket” in Latvian, is one those places that will be difficult to find and is mainly filled by locals.
Get down by the spiral dungeon stairs to see a club filled with teenagers dancing to the top MTV and 40 radio hits. Every now and then there will be a local band or other musicians playing, as well as some theatre performances by the local impro-bands.
This is a very student place, but at the same time if you are up for meeting some young locals, have cheap beer and also find a place that will be still open in the late hours at night, then this will be a perfect spot for you!
