Cesis is a small ancient city situated in the centre of Vidzeme region in 90 km from Riga. In 2006, Cesis turned 800 years old. Cesis is loved by tourists for its unique atmosphere of the Middle Ages, various festivals and opportunities for active recreation and beautiful nature around the city.

Castle of the Livonian Order. Is was carefully preserved through the securities to our times. The castle was partially destroyed during the Northern war (1700-1721) and nowadays has been rebuilt.
