Ciro’s Pomodoro is the London chain of Italian restaurants that opened its first Latvian franchise on the 7th floor of the Gallerija Riga shopping centre on Dzirnavu street 67.

Although located already in a pretty upmarket venue with quite formal atmosphere and modern surroundings inside, Ciro’s Pomodoro actually offers a simple menu of Italian classics like chicken alfredo, veal scallopini or penne alia vodka with dozens of thin crust pizzas for affordable price.

Food itself at Ciro’s Pomodoro is of a medium quality, so don’t expect anything extraordinary as don’t expect a genuine Italian pizza from this place, in the end of the day it is still a chain restaurant. For the real pizza places it’s better to look for other restaurants in Riga.

A big bonus of the location on the 7th floor are some excellent views from the venue windows to the Old Riga. And while inside, we recommend to find a sit in the far corner so you check out some cool photos of what appears to be Ciro himself with loads of Hollywood stars. Almost like being in Planet Hollywood but in Riga.

Steph, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. Picked us up from our hotel and told us all about Riga on the commute to and from the bobsleigh track. The g-force bobsleigh was amazing (it feels like a roller-coaster) and we didn't have to wait long. There's also an observation deck where you can view the national park.
The only downside was an error by the office staff overcharging us for the experience, which put a downer on the day, as I was told I wasn't able to do the bobsleigh unless we paid more. This was eventually resolved by the owner when he apologised for the error and confirmed no further payment was needed. I advise you pay the balance in full before the trip to avoid incompetent staff trying to overcharge you.
