Brooklyn Pub & Whiskey Room is a cosy souterrain pub in the heart of Riga town centre.

British, Belgian, German, Latvian and American beer fans will definitely enjoy this place. In fact some of them might even call it home, since so many beers from those countries are served here. When we checked the drinks menu, we were simply fascinated by how many beers, ales and stouts there were. We didn’t see such a varied selection anywhere in Riga.

You can buy a pint of Bombardier ale, Young’s oatmeal stout, Franziskaner, Leffe or Sierra Nevada for about 3 EUR. Local beers are also available on tap, and you’ll pay about 2.50 EUR for 0.5 litre of a tap beer of a brew from some Latvian microbreweries.

All kinds of sports like football, rugby or ice-hockey are also shown here on several large flat screen TVs. If you play darts – you can throw some in here too.

Pub food menu is also quite good – an extended list of different kinds, starting from fish ’n’ chips and chicken wings to soups and steaks, is available in Bombardier Bar. Free WiFi is also available inside (network: “Brooklyn”, password “labsalus”)
