Behind the Seams is a curated fashion and design experience that takes you inside
the creative backstage of Latvia’s style industry.

Led by local fashion insiders, the tours open the doors to studios, workshops, and ateliers that are normally closed to the public. Here, you’ll see sketches, craftsmanship in action, material selection — and become part of the process where an idea transforms into form.

It’s a rare chance to explore the city’s fashion scene straight from its true source.

Founded in 2018, Selina Keer has been part of Riga Fashion Week since 2019. 5. Latvian design concept stores “RIIJA” and “Mūsmāja”     🕒  1 hour
RIIJA is a concept store that brings together the widest selection of Latvian designer pieces in one place – from fine natural linen bedding, towels, and relaxed-fit clothing to original furniture, tableware, and lighting. rija.lv @conceptstore_riija “A souvenir is a small piece of land that a guest takes away with them. This ‘small piece,’ or a souvenir from Latvia, should never be impersonal – it must breathe and pulse, because our culture and traditions are exactly that: vivid and alive,” say the founders of Mūsmāja, a store dedicated to authentic Latvian souvenirs. musmaja.lv

Steph, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. Picked us up from our hotel and told us all about Riga on the commute to and from the bobsleigh track. The g-force bobsleigh was amazing (it feels like a roller-coaster) and we didn't have to wait long. There's also an observation deck where you can view the national park. The only downside was an error by the office staff overcharging us for the experience, which put a downer on the day, as I was told I wasn't able to do the bobsleigh unless we paid more. This was eventually resolved by the owner when he apologised for the error and confirmed no further payment was needed. I advise you pay the balance in full before the trip to avoid incompetent staff trying to overcharge you.
