Bergs Restaurant, located in the Bergs Hotel, in “Bergu Bazars”, could probably be called one the best restaurants in Riga alongside famous Vincents and with its interior looks suggesting inspirations of the of Dwell or Architectural Digest magazines.

During the 2000s it has already been a frequent guest of the «The European 50 best restaurants» list, which could be underlined by its elegant design and excellent location. Both bringing an atmosphere of a blissful rest and some “intimacy” in this romantic quarter of Riga.

The menu is offered by Latvian, European Continental as well as American cuisine, with an evening menu (five course menu per person) served Thursday and weekends, seasonal menu, as well as a wide and long list of delicious desserts.

Special three and five-course meals prepared by their award-winning chef are also available, which will definitely make your lunch and dinner at Bergs pretty special.

Breakfast are served daily from 07:30 till 11:00. Brunch offers are available.

Steph, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. Picked us up from our hotel and told us all about Riga on the commute to and from the bobsleigh track. The g-force bobsleigh was amazing (it feels like a roller-coaster) and we didn't have to wait long. There's also an observation deck where you can view the national park.
The only downside was an error by the office staff overcharging us for the experience, which put a downer on the day, as I was told I wasn't able to do the bobsleigh unless we paid more. This was eventually resolved by the owner when he apologised for the error and confirmed no further payment was needed. I advise you pay the balance in full before the trip to avoid incompetent staff trying to overcharge you.
