Moloney’s Pub is one of those Irish places so popular in Riga amongst tourists, especially from British islands, but locals too who spen time drinking Guinness and watching football. The pub is very spacey, well and cozy decorated, like most of the Irish or British pubs in Riga.

Inside you can expect a good Irish feeling with traditional decorations and brews! Malooney’s has a good variety of foreign and local Latvian beers on draught, starting from Irish “Guinness” and “Kilkenny” to Belgian “Leffe” and a local “Bauskas” (which is one of the best around) as well as a full menu of pub food.

Food includes such Irish and British “delicacies” like burgers, ribs and steaks. They also have their famous big Irish Breakfast for under 8 EUR.

Music-wise, don’t expect anything more than “pub” type pop music from the speakers. However we really enjoyed a digital jukebox that hangs from a wall, where for 1Ls you can get yourself sorted with 3 favorite tunes. They also invite music artists for live music performances on Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Smoking is only allowed in the Moloney’s private courtyard.

Steph, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. Picked us up from our hotel and told us all about Riga on the commute to and from the bobsleigh track. The g-force bobsleigh was amazing (it feels like a roller-coaster) and we didn't have to wait long. There's also an observation deck where you can view the national park.
The only downside was an error by the office staff overcharging us for the experience, which put a downer on the day, as I was told I wasn't able to do the bobsleigh unless we paid more. This was eventually resolved by the owner when he apologised for the error and confirmed no further payment was needed. I advise you pay the balance in full before the trip to avoid incompetent staff trying to overcharge you.
