A visit to the “Skyline Bar” has become an obligatory thing to do for anybody visiting Riga. Even if you’ve been to many skyscrapers around the world, you still have see this place at least once.
Located on the 26th floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija, Skyline Bar is one of the top-class cocktail places to meet with friends, bring a date to impress or simply have a drink with foreign colleagues with a fantastic view and Riga panorama and views of the Old Town.
The usual crowd inside are middle/high class Rigaers and foreign tourists, who start gathering around 5pm to chill on the comfortable sofas. Getting one of the window seats with a view is often a bit of a mission, but it’s worth the effort. You’ll need to get there early to grab a window seat.
The drinks menu is full of cocktails, plus a bit of alcohol and soft drinks, while the food menu on the other hand is mainly for those want a quick snack.
Friday and Saturday nights Skyline bar becomes some sort of a club, when local DJs come to play sets, and this is when you’ll have to pay for the entrance too (usually it’s free of charge).

“On Riga’s roof !A trendy and nice bar with an absolutely top wiew over Riga Town.Laid back music(cafe del mar etc.) Its no problem sitting there for many Hours. Cheap prises on drinks and food. We where three guys from Norway visiting the city 12-15 oktober. “”TOP” location on the 26th florr of the very good hotel I am staying in. View is fantastic, nice music etc. Prices are “normal” considering the bar is in a 5* hotel. (11 euro for 1 vodka /coke and 1 jack daniels). Nice waitresses, plenty of seats although even on Monday’s it was full! Stop nagging about expensive prices, it is still enormously cheaper then in our own capitals London or Amsterdam…”
