Piens Club
Great venue with large terraces and a funky, eclectic interior, colourful, hip and laid-back Piens is hard to beat. Be ready – anything can happen there – concerts, exhibits, film screenings or gatherings over coffee in the afternoons.
This absolutely snug 60-70’s loft apartment is the home for advanced twenty-something year old artists, designers, journalists, media people, musicians and other hipsters. They are coming together for looooooong evenings of chatting, dancing, playing chess or novus and of course drinking.
Impressive how many lads and ladies don’t mind queuing up at the weekend to sit on one of many couches that are each completely different in style.
Piens boasts two enormous terraces and the very first bar-sofas in Riga. It also has got a freee WiFi, so feel free to drop by for a little web surfing. Absolute must (especially for those who feel modern and hipster-ish)!

this is the worst club in latvia. service is SHIT. NEVER go there…. it is seriously a waste of time, full of idiots who believe they’re different ergo “cool”… trust me, it is a waste of time. many other good clubs in riga!

Not sure I can agree with karl marx on this one. We’ve spent a very nice evening in there when we visited Riga this winter. Service was quite decent, staff all spoke English, there was quite a good ambient chill-out music playing during the whole evening and crowd was really friendly inside. I think there might be probably bad nights sometimes like in many other European clubs , but we really enjoyed it in Piens.

Hello I was in Riga for a long weekend last week.
Everything was perfect…until I went to the Piens Club.
I’m from Spain,profesional,30 years old, I’ve been travelling around the world and I never saw something like this.
The guards of the club didn’t let me in because I’m not latvian or because I’m Spanish????…….are we in 2010???
What would you think about the spanish people if one day you go to Spain and you can’t enter into the club because you are not Spanish????or because you are latvian??
If this Club is a place for artists…..congratulations to them, they invented the most stupid discriminatory rules…..
I’ll choose another destination the next time, I loved the city of Riga and the people but I didn’t expect this incident.
So if you are not Latvian don’t go to this place, in this Club they don’t want people like you, they are afraid to share experiences with inteligent people.
